A diminishing Blue
Set in a near-future city submerged by rising waters, this dreamlike narrative unfolds to Johann Strauss II’s The Blue Danube, featuring its original lyrics. Billie navigates a surreal carnival of masked balls, financial collapse, and fleeting revelry, as humanity clings to joy amidst despair. Created entirely using AI tools, the film visualizes hauntingly realistic flood scenarios based on recent events in Austria, evoking both wonder and unease about artificial intelligence’s power. As Billie awakens to the fragile boundary between dream and reality, the story grapples with humanity’s defiance of collapse and the growing fear of AI’s role in shaping—and distorting—our world.

The main inspiration for this film was an Opencall for the masterpiece of the “Danube Waltz”
by Johan Strauss. I used the lyrics in an experimental setting to find out how far I can incorporate existing state of the art technology in my pipeline, you can find them here.
